What better place to marry than a tropical paradise! Our beaches are beautiful, the gardens and waterfalls are breathtaking and the weather is typically perfect. Many of our clients come to Maui as couples or bring only a small group of close friends. They are here to commit their love to each other in a most sacred and special way. Often there is a party waiting when they go home. That is why the photography and video are a very important part of our services. You will find our wedding services to be extremely affordable. The cost of a wedding on Maui can range from $250 to $3000 for a truly amazing event. Compare this to the cost of a wedding at home where it's necessary to invite everyone down to second cousins. It can be just the two of you without slighting those who cannot make the journey. In this way, a luxurious Maui destination wedding can, in fact, be less costly than marrying at home. The officiate is a very important part of the ceremony and sets the spiritual tone of the moment. We have found that most of our couples prefer a Hawaiian minister. They so reflect the essence of our beautiful island. You will feel the aloha and warmth that is such a part of our lifestyle here on Maui. We work with a variety of denominations as well. A Catholic wedding is possible, but you must do some preparation. A priest will rarely marry out on a beach. We have a rabbi and also a few Jewish officiates who will marry interfaith couples.

I have personally screened every vendor who works for me. I have a degree in music and dance and have studied photography. I even had a photo published in a magazine ... the Maui Guide. However I will not photograph my own weddings.

And so, my expectations are extremely high for you, my clients. Every year I re-interview all of my vendor's work. As a result, I have a variety of artists who really know how to capture a Maui wedding. Your most precious memories I will entrust only to a professional with at least 5 years experience in wedding photography and videography on Maui.

Most of your wedding will be outdoors as the beauty and composition are part of the reason you have come here. My staff specialize in outdoor weddings, where the lighting and the elements are a constant unknown. The photographer or videographer needs to be both spontaneous and creative. It is not the same as shooting in a church or indoor environment where the location and lighting is always stable. Our videographers are magicians when it comes to perfect sound and lighting. I have co-created packages with my photographers. We can also create a package specifically for you.

In most of my 35mm packages, the photographer usually shoots more than what you have paid for. You never have to worry about our photographers under-shooting your event. The truth is, until the wedding is over, you never know just how many photographs you will need. With Medium Format packages, that include negatives, the photographers are more cautious with their shots as the processing is a bit costly. Digital is the newest technology and that has zillions of creative options. Our knowledgeable coordinators will fit you carefully with a photography package that will meet your needs. If you do not understand the difference in photography formats we will educate you. You may also contact our photographers directly.

I feel that you, the client, should have the option of going home with all of your photos plus the negatives and CD if you want them. You then have the choice of creating an elaborate wedding album with your photographer on Maui, or you can take the negatives or CD home and make an album with your local lab or photographer. Quality reproductions can be costly, so by having your negatives or CD you can compose your premier wedding album slowly. I encourage you to take your photography and compose an album that will have a very long shelf life. You will appreciate these images. Not only are they treasures of art because Maui is an amazing place for a photo shoot, but as the years go on you will be so happy to have your photographs and video. They will be works of priceless art to you.

If you are choosing a photographer that does not sell negatives then you are choosing them to be your artist. All reproductions are from them. They will have the artistic and quality control. The plus side is that they will be responsible for everything from start to finish. Many of our photographers are of such high international standards that you may want them to handle your entire portfolio. Again, we will match you with the services that you desire.

Get a video. What more can I say. You can never get this again. They are exquisitely edited and not of the same quality as your uncle's. They are digitally shot with broadcast-quality, 3-chip, digital cameras for perfection and all of the ceremony is recorded with wireless microphones. It breaks my heart when couples wish afterwards that they had gotten a video to show to all of their people back home.

Public locations: We are sticklers on location. We want you to have a special location for your wedding day and will caution you to avoid overpopulated locations. We have a feel for which public beach locations will be less crowded than others. However, since it is public we cannot guarantee what will be happening on that special day. A popular beach wedding is a Foot-in-Sand or Foot-in-Surf Ceremony. Be prepared to take off your shoes. There is something very romantic about a beach wedding. There are also some nice grassy parks for your wedding, some located overlooking the ocean.

A public beach typically has no charge however a permit may be necessary for groups over 12. If we set up chairs and floral arches on the beach there is a fee to the county of Maui for that. Drinking alcohol on Maui's beaches is illegal. All weddings on the beach that have a celebration toast will be with sparkling cider. A toast is very romantic and is wonderful composition for the photography and video.

Resort Locations: We are big fans of certain resort locations. Some are very nice but may be crowded and not private. Having used them all we have narrowed them down to our very favorites. The beauty of a nice resort location is in the photography and video opportunities. You have lobby shots, gorgeous gardens, waterfalls and sunset photography on the beach. There are bathroom facilities. If you have guests they will appreciate that. The experience is always 5 star at our preferred resort locations.

Oceanfront Home Locations: An oceanfront house is really fabulous. It offers changing rooms so the bride can make a grand entrance. You can have elaborate cake tables and cocktail receptions as well as catered dinners. Everyone loves the privacy and convenience of our oceanfront home locations. Some of our Packages offer a discount at our private home locations. We feel that strongly about the privacy and predictability of having your wedding at a designated location such as a home located on the ocean.

Garden Locations: Gardens and natural waterfalls are paradise. They are best held in the morning or mid-afternoon, as many of them are located in areas that may be rainy overnight. We try to schedule around any possible weather glitches. The richness in the photography in a natural garden or waterfall setting is lovely. We create a dream date for you by scheduling afternoon and evening activities to compliment your morning or afternoon wedding… a true dream!

In addition to the pictures on this site, we have photographs of different locations that we can e-mail to help you with your decision… there is only so much we can share in a web site. And, our inventory is vast and always changing. We also have access to some beach home rentals where you can hold weddings and receptions. These locations tend to book quickly.

We have a variety of strategies for receptions. A reception can be dinner for 2 or 200. We are preferred vendors at some of the finest restaurants on Maui. You will have a fabulous table. We have arranged private locations with catering as well as functions in a private setting at a restaurant or hotel. There are many details in a reception that we will gladly work out with you. I know all the tricks where you can save money without sacrificing quality and only you and I know where we have cut corners.

In planning a destination wedding, it makes good sense to use a coordinator who knows the best local vendors and locations. One who will also be there to see the event runs smoothly.
